We took this car in part exchange for an MTM Supercharged RS4 from a retired traffic cop. We only agreed to this as it was an uptogether example benefitting from gearbox replacement by Audi at 51k miles (common) and the troublesome DRC suspension replaced by Bilstein PSS9 coilovers, another common issue dealt with.
In addition to this it has the following sensible modifications;
MRC gearbox map (makes it more of a manual in manual mode with less kickdown, something a car with this much torque doesn't need and isn't good for the gearbox)
MRC stage 1 remap producing 506 PS (we have a dyno plot)
Milltek exhaust (not especially loud but brings out a bit more V8 burble)
H&R anti roll bars.
The only outstanding thing was the cambelt change which we had done by Unit 20 in Cheshire. We also had a service done and the vacuum pipes on the top of the engine replaced with silicone as these had been noted in a previous health check. Feel free to ask them their opinion of the car, Martin told us verbally it was a good example and MRC said the same to the previous owner.We have also had 3 wheels refurbished by Prestige in Birmingham and replaced two perfectly good tyres with Goodyear Eagle F1s to make a matching set of 4, all with good tread. The troublesome tyre pressure warning system has been disabled.
Condition is very good. The paintwork is generally excellent with just a few stonechips to report and some minor imperfections here and there. The common issue of roof rail corrosion was dealt with by Audi under warranty and there are images in the history showing this work being performed. The interior has typical light wear expected at this age and mileage but is unabused and free of any bad smells with everything working and unbroken.Driving wise, this RS6 is so much better than standard thanks to the suspension and gearbox map, two characteristics of the original car that make it far less enjoyable than this one. Personal number shown has been on car for years and is included in the sale.
