(this is a private sale of my own personal car)
2004 model year type 996 Porsche 911 with 320ps 3.6 litre flat six petrol engine, 6 speed manual gearbox and 4 wheel drive. 5 owners (all known). Has been my own weekend car since May 2015 during which I have covered 7500 miles, 4000 of which have been on road trips to the Italian Lakes and the French Riviera during which it was perfectly reliable. I don't have any more trips planned (in 2016 I overcame my fear of flying) and don't use it enough in the summer as it is (it's SORN over winter) and expect to use it even less in 2017 due to the arrival of a Golf GTI Clubsport S - didn't plan to sell this car but the reality is one needs to go and I have never kept a car for over 2 years.
43500 with a full service history from Porsche or Porsche specialists (see images). 2004 model year car so configured for 2 year/20,000 mile service intervals. Last serviced in December 2016 at 43500 miles by Porsche specialist 'Zuffenhaus' . MOT to January 22nd 2018.
Co2 emissions of 277 g/km. Road tax rate - 12 months £305

Complete owners manual wallet, 2 remote keys, Kenny Dunn (specialist) number plates and rear window sticker.

Nice spec with factory options of rear Park Assist (rear parking sensors), full electric adjustment of front seats with memory function, electric tilt and slide steel sunroof, heated front seats, rear wiper, cruise control. Standard spec of electric windows, electric mirrors, remote central locking, trip computer, active rear spoiler, PSM stablility control, 18" Turbo II alloy wheels. Parrot Mk1900 Bluetooth phone connection with Bluetooth music streaming, Ipod and AUX cables.
During my time with the car I have performed the following work: To make the cooling system as efficient as possible in order to minimise the risk of bore scoring I have replaced the water pump, coolant tank cap, coolant, removed the front bumper to clean the radiators and fitted a low temperature thermostat as recommended by specialist Hartech. I also performed 2 oil changes (in addition to the December 2016 service) using costly Mobil 1 0w/40 oil and OEM filters as the fresher the oil, the better it is at dissipating heat and it also gave me the chance to dissect the oil filter to check for metal fragments, a sign of impending intermediate main shaft failure and thankfully none were present. The other common 996/M96 problem of a leaking rear main seal has always been completely absent, not even any 'sweating' is evident. Due to pad transfer on a rear brake disc which was causing an intermittent noise, I replaced all 4 brake discs and pads using Sebro discs and Pagid/Textar pads (both OEM suppliers to Porsche). I also performed a brake fluid change using Pagid DOT 4.0 fluid. Due to a sheared bleed nipple on the offside front calliper, this was replaced (some cars shear bleed nipples on all 4 callipers - there are 2 per calliper). Due to the low mileage, the Michelins fitted when I purchased the car were well legal but beginning to perish so all 4 were replaced with N rated (Porsche approved) Michelin Pilot Sport tyres and these still have plenty of tread remaining (7mm front, 5mm rear). The wheels were refurbished to a very high standard by Speedwells. In order to release some more of the spine tingling flat six howl and to attend to the rusty exhaust bolts noted at the last service, the original exhaust boxes were replaced with a top quality Dansk stainless steel sports exhaust although this was a bit quieter than expected and is just as refined when cruising as the originals. The spark plugs, air filter, pollen filter and all 3 wiper blades were replaced when I got the car - when the spark plugs were changed the coil packs were inspected and any showing signs of cracking were replaced. The auxiliary drivebelt is sensibly a service item on Porsches and is easy to change so this was done. The front bumper has been repainted by Sprint in order to attend to some chips and is an excellet colour match. The rest of the bodywork is pretty much perfect apart from some unavoidable chips low down where the rear arches flare out. I have thoroughly machine polished the paintwork to minimise any swirl marks and thanks to this and Autoglym HD wax it now has a mirror finish. The corroded wheels bolts were also replaced as they were unsightly.
