2010/10 Mk6 Golf 1.4 TSI 122 SE DSG

£7490 sorry no offers
(please note this is a genuine private sale of a family member's car)
2010 Mk6 Golf SE with 122 PS turbocharged 4 cylinder TSI petrol engine and 7 speed DSG gearbox. 3 owners from new, mother and middle aged son until April 2017 when it was part exchanged with us for a very high spec Tiguan. It was then sold to a family member of ours who just had to have it due to the unusually high specification (they traded it back in with us for a GTI - this is therefore a legitimate private sale but a Warranty Wise warranty can be arranged for buyer peace of mind).

38600 miles with a full service history, all VW until we performed one in April last year at 34000 miles. In early 2018 we replaced the water pump with a new VW part and replaced the coolant (a common issue on this engine).

Complete owners manual wallet. Spare key. Tailored cloth front floor mats. Volkswizard branded number plates.
As many of these cars were bought by new companies, not many were ordered with optional extras - this one was privately owned and as a result has the following : multifunction steering wheel with paddle shifters (rare!), heated front seats, headlamps washers, heated washer jets (winter pack), front fog lamps (which also work as cornering lamps), rear view camera, front and rear parking sensors, RCD 510 big screen 6 CD player and radio, electric folding door mirrors. Also has Multi-Device Interface, 16" alloy wheels, metallic paint, auto headlights, cruise control.

I was pleased to take this in part exchange against a high spec Tiguan last year, especially as I'd been looking for a car to replace my wife's A3 2.0 TDI S line DSG which itself was unusually high spec. She's more fussy about seats than anything else and had been previously concerned that the flat seats of the non-sporty Mk6s wouldn't suit her. We agreed to give this a try anyway and while it wasn't as bad as expected, when a Mk5 Golf GTI came along with the requisite sporty seats, auto box, parking sensors, 5 doors and heated seats (the red paint was a bonus) I wasn't going to stand in her way if she wanted it which she did (not least because I get to drive it too!).
Condition is pretty much spot on, it's had some localised paintwork to a bumper corner (smart repair I believe), the rest appears to be original and in great condition. There are some minor chips, a touched in graze low down on the front bumper but that's it. Wheels are largely perfect with just some areas of minor corrosion. All tyres have plenty of tread left. The interior including boot is dare I say it perfect, even the 'Golf' branded floor mats are barely worn. It drives perfectly and I've enjoyed driving it when I've had the chance. We took it for a week in Anglesey last year and it was great, I've also used it for runs to Heathrow a couple of times, it's unchallenging nature a welcome site after often a sleep deprived couple of days.
