Very high spec with numerous factory extras that made the total retail price when new just under £30,000. See image of spec sheet for full details but highlights include 18" split rim alloy wheels with black centres and polished edges, black leather interior, heated front seats, navigation system, Bluetooth, cruise control.
We are pretty selective about what we take in part exchange and while we don't often deviate from VW Group if possible, we couldn't let the owner of this perfectly good Countryman give it to one of the online car buying services. It's a low mileage, high spec car with a great provenance having had just 2 private professional owners and has a proper service history from Mini.
Condition was pretty much perfect when it arrived apart from a scratch on the bonnet that wouldn't polish out so this was repainted in full by Sprint Auto Services who as usual did a great job, apart from that we believe the rest of the bodywork to be original and it's in excellent condition. The very expensive and freshly refurbished split-rim wheels (made by German wheel maker Ronal) are shod with 4 matched Pirelli run-flat tyres with lots of tread remaining.
I took it for an extended test drive and found it surprising enjoyable to drive, the firmish ride hinting at a fair bit of handling prowess that the normal Minis of this era are famous for. The turbocharged engine offers more than adequate performance with a nice torquey shove at lower revs and a reasonanbly spirited climb up the rev counter when provoked. The brakes are typically efficient as used expect of a modern car and the very direct steering reminds you this isn't your typical lazy 4x4.
Overall an interesting and suprisingly practical car that even after 7 years still looks remarkably current.
